1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
In Short: We do not collect any personal information.

FrozenAssets is a fully offline application. It does not require an internet connection, does not have user accounts, and does not transmit any data off your device.

The app does not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, Android IDs, IMEI, or MAC addresses
  • IP addresses, browser information, or network data
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data
  • Any information from third parties
All data you enter into FrozenAssets (item names, categories, quantities, dates, notes, tags, and photos) is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

2. HOW DOES THE APP WORK?
FrozenAssets is a freezer inventory management tool. All functionality operates locally on your device:

Data storage: All inventory data is stored in a local database on your device.

Photos: Photos you take or select are saved to the app's private storage directory on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Notifications: The app may send local push notifications to remind you about items nearing expiration. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication.

Export/Import: You may export your data to CSV or JSON files and import data from these file formats. These operations use your device's local file system through Android's built-in file picker. No data is transmitted over the internet.

The app does not contain:

  • User accounts or registration
  • Social media login
  • Artificial intelligence features
  • In-app advertising
  • Analytics or tracking
  • Cloud storage or synchronization
  • Any form of internet communication

3. WHAT PERMISSIONS DOES THE APP USE?
FrozenAssets requests the following device permissions, all used solely for local functionality:

Camera: To take photos of your frozen food items. Photos are stored locally on your device. This permission is optional — the app functions fully without it.

Storage / Media Images: To save and display item photos on your device. On Android 12 and below, this uses standard storage permissions. On Android 13+, this uses the scoped media images permission. This permission is optional.

Notifications: To send local reminders about items nearing their expiration date. No notification data is sent to any server. This permission is optional.

No data obtained through any of these permissions is transmitted off your device.

4. HOW IS YOUR DATA STORED?
All data is stored locally on your device in:

  • A private SQLite database (inventory items and tags)
  • Shared preferences (app settings such as notification preferences and theme choice)
  • The app's private files directory (item photos)
If you use Android's built-in backup feature, your app data (database and settings) may be included in your device backup to your Google account. This is controlled by your device's backup settings, not by FrozenAssets. Item photos are excluded from cloud backups but included in device-to-device transfers.

5. DO WE USE THIRD-PARTY SERVICES OR SDKS?
No. FrozenAssets does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or APIs. The app uses only standard Android framework libraries provided by Google as part of the Android operating system (such as AndroidX, Material Design components, and WorkManager for local notifications).
The app does not include:
  • Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any analytics SDK
  • Google Ads, AdMob, or any advertising SDK
  • Facebook SDK, or any social media SDK
  • Crash reporting tools (such as Crashlytics or Sentry)
  • Any SDK that collects device identifiers or user data

6. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
In Short: We do not share any personal information because we do not collect any.

Since FrozenAssets does not collect or transmit any data, there is no personal information to share. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with any third parties for any purpose.

Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, this privacy policy would continue to apply. Since no user data is collected, no user data would be transferred.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We do not keep any of your information because we do not collect any.

All data you enter into FrozenAssets exists only on your device. It remains on your device until you delete it within the app, uninstall the app, or clear the app's data through your device settings. We have no access to your data and cannot retain it.

8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: Your data never leaves your device, which is the strongest protection possible.

Since FrozenAssets operates entirely offline and does not transmit any data, your information is protected by your device's own security measures (device encryption, screen lock, etc.). There is no server-side data to breach because no data is ever sent to any server.

9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. 10. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You have full control over your data on your device.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR in the EU/UK, or state privacy laws in the United States). These typically include the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of your personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data
  • Request data portability

Since FrozenAssets does not collect, store, or process any personal data on our end, these rights are inherently satisfied — all your data is on your device and under your control. You can view, modify, export, or delete your data at any time through the app itself or by clearing the app's data in your device settings.

Withdrawing consent: Since we do not process any personal data, there is no consent to withdraw.

EU/UK residents: If you are located in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Switzerland residents: You may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

California "Shine The Light" Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about personal information disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose any personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes.

12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
FrozenAssets does not access the internet and does not track users in any way. Do-Not-Track signals are not applicable to this app since no tracking occurs.

13. DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS NOTICE?
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Notice. Since FrozenAssets does not collect any data, there is no data on our end to review, update, or delete. All your data exists solely on your device. You can:

  • Review your data by opening the app and browsing your inventory
  • Update your data by editing items within the app
  • Export your data using the Export feature in Settings (CSV or JSON format)
  • Delete your data by deleting individual items, or by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in your device settings
